Symbiotic signalling pathways

We
have studied the role of CgSymRK, the Casuarina ortholog of the Legume
SymRK/DMI2 gene. This hgene is able to complement the Lotus symrk
mutant, and its downregulation in Casuarina results in altered
nodulation and mycorrhization, suggesting that actinorhizal,
rhizobial and mycorhizal symbioses share common genetic mechanisms.
